We are part of Discovery Schools Academy Trust (DSAT) who are a group of 13 like-minded schools that are aiming to deliver the best possible outcomes for primary age children across Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland  Parkland Primary School is an expanding school and we opened our very own pre-school in September 2015. It is our aim to give all of our pupils the best possible start in life.

The school boasts a professional, dedicated team and we strive for the highest possible standards of achievement and learning, as well as believing passionately that every child is unique with special talents and potential. We work hard to build successful relationships with parents, carers, the local community and the other schools in the Discovery Schools Academy Trust as we believe that partnership is a key part of driving success for our pupils.

Parkland Primary Admissions Consultation for entry into School 2019

We are conducting a statutory consultation exercise on proposed changes to the admission arrangements for schools within the Trust. The consultation runs for six weeks starting the 9am Monday 30th October 2017 until 5pm Friday 8th December 2017. The agreed (determined) admission arrangements will be published on our website by 15th March 2018.


This policy will come in effect for first time admissions September 2019. It will also apply to all mid-term admissions for the school year 2019/20 and subsequent years, subject to review.

Discovery Schools Academy Trust will not adopt the admission arrangements of Leicestershire County Council We intend to implement a standard policy and arrangement for all schools; however, each school will have a unique document that reflects the school’s admission number, whether it has pre-school on site, and other specific details.
